Lisa Rosemond is a vocalist and vocal instructor who has taught famous singers like Justin Bieber and Usher. She is currently teaching MattyBRaps.

In Lisa's early years, she was involved in singing works for churches, schools, community functions, Allstate and honors choruses, and vocal competitions. She choose music as a major in college.

Attending Wesleyan College in Macon, Georgia, Lisa graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor's of Music in Vocal Performance. She was also the recipient of the Chenery Music Prize. During her years at Wesleyan, Lisa toured with a performing group in various original and well-known musical theater shows. In particular, “The Boyfriend,” “Once Upon A Mattress,” “The Sound of Music,” and “South Pacific.”

Upon graduating from college in 1987, Lisa realized that she sounded like "every other Soprano singer out there" and longed to find her own voice as an artist. She discovered someone who could help and began her studies with Jan Smith. With Jan's help, Lisa honed the identity of her "vocal thumbprint," and also discovered the ability of writing music.

In 1991 Lisa returned to college at Kennesaw State University and became certified to teach music in the public school systems. She founded a kid's worship team and children's choir at NorthStar Church in Kennesaw. Lisa has worked with children's choirs for the last twenty years, directing over 30 musicals and running summer music camps. She also writes children's drama and acts as the musical director for a home-school drama group. Lisa regularly leads adult and children's worship and sings at many events in the Atlanta area. She has taught voice for the past eighteen years.

Lisa prefers working with children and teenagers. She wants to help people follow their dreams of becoming good singers, and wants to help prevent her student from "falling into the same rut" that she did. Combining classical training with extensive knowledge of contemporary styles, Lisa is able to bring her love of music to all of her students and help them achieve their personal best. Since joining the staff of Jan Smith Studios in 2003, Lisa has worked with many different performers, including Nia Imani (young Nala in “The Lion King” on Broadway), Blake Michael (“Charlie” in Disney's “Lemonade Mouth”), and up and coming rapper/singer, MattyB.
